Dr Anitha Devi Pillai is an applied linguist and teacher educator at the National Institute of Education (NIE), Nanyang Technological University, where she teaches courses on language and literacy, writing pedagogy as well as writing skills. She is the recipient of 3 teaching awards: Excellence in Teaching Commendation Award in 2018 from NIE, and the Singapore University of Social Sciences Teaching Merit Award in 2013 and 2014 from the Singapore University of Social Sciences. She has delivered keynote addresses and published academic papers and books in her areas of expertise.
