Ms Sukuna S. Vijayadevar is a senior lecturer with NIEC SEED. She has served for many years in the field of early childhood education, holding various positions as lecturer, practicum supervisor and research advisor. Her areas of interest in early childhood include teaching language and literacy, research, leadership and inclusive education. She has conducted talks for parents and workshops for teachers teaching Tamil Language in pre-school on story-telling and creation of big books. She has also presented at several local and international conferences.
திருமதி சுகுணா இளம்பருவ வளர்ச்சிக்கான தேசியக் கல்விக் கழகத்தில் மூத்த விரிவுரையாளராகப் பணியாற்றுகிறார். இவர் இளம்பருவக்கல்வித் துறையில் பல ஆண்டுகளாக விரிவுரையாளராகவும் பள்ளிசார் பயிற்சி மேற்பார்வையாளராகவும், ஆய்வு ஆலோசகராகவும் பணியாற்றி வருகிறார். இளம்பருவக்கல்வித்துறையில் மொழியறிவு, ஆய்வு, தலைமைத்துவம், அனைவரையும் உள்ளடக்கிய கல்வி ஆகியவற்றில் இவருக்கு ஆர்வம் உண்டு.திருமதி சுகுணா பாலர் பள்ளி தமிழாசிரியர்களுக்கும் பெற்றோர்களுக்கும் கதை கூறல், பெரிய புத்தகங்கள் உருவாக்கம் தொடர்பான பயிலரங்குகளை நடத்தியுள்ளார். மேலும் இவர், உள்ளூர், வெளியூர் மாநாடுகளில் கலந்துகொண்டு பல படைப்புகளை நிகழ்த்தியுள்ளார்.

Mdm Karkuzhali has an abiding passion for her Mother Tongue Language (MTL) and culture and is always willing to go the extra mile to inspire a love for the language among her pupils. Mdm Karkuzhali received the Outstanding Pre-school Mother Tongue Language Teacher Award in 2018.Mdm Karkuzhali is very cognisant of the need to communicate in Tamil without errors so that her students will pick up the correct use of the language. She also takes every opportunity to improve her own language and communication skills. One of her key strategies is to carefully weigh the strengths and weaknesses of her students so that she is better able to build upon their strengths and deploy strategies to mitigate their learning challenges while building a strong foundation in values. She collaborates with parents by providing feedback on how they can continue to improve their children’s command of the language at home. She is also an active participant of school activities.Her dedication and passion for teaching allows her to stay professionally sharp and relevant. She is an extraordinary teacher who constantly seeks new opportunities to grow professionally.
திருமதி கார்குழலி தம் தாய்மொழியின் மீதும் பண்பாட்டின் மீதும் அளவற்ற பற்றுக்கொண்டவர். தமிழ்மொழி அறிவை தம் பிள்ளைகளுக்குப் புகட்ட தம்மால் இயன்ற அளவுக்கு முயன்று வருகிறார். தமிழ் மொழியின்மீது கொண்ட அளவற்ற பற்றுதலின் காரணமாக அதன் பெருமையை அடுத்த தலைமுறைக்குக்கொண்டு சேர்க்க அரும்பாடுபட்டு வருகிறார். தமிழ்மொழியைப் பிழையின்றி மாணவர்களுக்குக் கற்பிப்பதில் தனிக்கவனமும் உறுதிப்பாடும் கொண்டுள்ள திருமதி கார்குழலி, கற்றல் பட்டறைகளின்மூலம் தம் மொழிவளத்தைத் தொடர்ந்து மேம்படுத்திக்கொள்கிறார். மாணவர்களது தொடங்குநிலையையும், தயார்நிலையையும் நன்கு உணர்ந்து அவர்களுக்கு ஏற்றவகையில் கற்றல் கற்பித்தலை வடிவமைப்பதில் இவர் கைதேர்ந்தவர். மேலும், மாணவர்களது மொழியாற்றலை மேம்படுத்த இல்லங்களில் பெற்றோர்கள் மேற்கொள்ள வேண்டிய முயற்சிகளையும் அவ்வப்போது அவர்களுக்கு வலியுறுத்தியும் வருகிறார். சென்ற ஆண்டு (2018) கல்வி அமைச்சின் ஏற்பாட்டில் நடந்தேறிய தாய்மொழிகளின் கருத்தரங்கில் தலைசிறந்த ஆசிரியருக்கான விருது இவருக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டது என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

Mdm Usha is a Senior Specialist for Tamil Language at the Curriculum Planning and Development Division, Ministry of Education. Not only does she have experience in the planning of the pre-school and primary curriculum, she also has 25 years of experience as a primary school teacher.
திருமதி உஷா ஜனார்த் அவர்கள் கல்வி அமைச்சின் பாடக்கலைத்திட்ட வரைவு மேம்பாட்டுப் பிரிவின் தமிழ்மொழிப் பகுதியின் மூத்த சிறப்பாய்வாளர் ஆவார். இவர் தொடக்கப்பள்ளியில் 25 ஆண்டுகள் கற்பித்த அனுபவம் கொண்டவர். பாலர் பள்ளி, தொடக்கப்பள்ளி நிலைகளுக்கான பாடத்திட்ட பயிற்றுவள உருவாக்கத்தில் பணியாற்றிய அனுபவமும் இவருக்குண்டு.
Through play, children learn to enjoy the moment. Play is an excellent way for young children to explore the world around them and use MTL. Play is the primary way in which children explore their surroundings. Through play, they build the necessary skills to communicate with each other. Studies show that children's learning is optimised when they are free to learn through purposeful play. Children can focus for longer periods of time and are more motivated to learn because they are enjoying themselves. Purposeful play involves intentional planning and the facilitation of children’s play to achieve intended learning outcomes. When these MTL play experiences continue from school to home, the learning continues effortlessly and seamlessly. The panellists will share useful tips on how to use purposeful play both at home and school to encourage children to use MTL.
விளையாட்டு என்பது பிள்ளைகள் விரும்பி ஈடுபடும் நடவடிக்கையாகும். தாம் வாழும் உலகத்தை இளம் சிறார்களை உற்றுநோக்கச் செய்ய விளையாட்டு ஒரு சிறந்த வழியாகும். விளையாட்டின் வழியேதான் பிள்ளைகள் தம்மைச் சூழ்ந்துள்ள சுற்றுச்சூழலை ஆராய்கிறார்கள். பிறருடன் கருத்துப்பரிமாற்றத்தில் ஈடுபடத் தேவையான திறன்களை அவர்கள் விளையாட்டின் மூலமே வளர்த்துக்கொள்கிறார்கள். அர்த்தமுள்ள விளையாட்டின் மூலம் தடையின்றிக் கற்றுக்கொள்ளும் நிலையிருந்தால் அதுவே பிள்ளைகளின் நிறைவான கற்றலுக்கு வழிவகுக்கும் என்று ஆய்வுகள் சுட்டுகின்றன. மகிழ்வு தரும் சூழலில்தான் பிள்ளைகளின் உற்சாகத்தையும் ஈடுபாட்டையும் நம்மால் நீண்ட நேரம் தக்கவைத்துக்கொள்ள இயலும். விரும்பத்தக்க கற்றல் அடைவுநிலைகளைப் பெறுவதற்கு முறையான திட்டமிடலும் பிள்ளைகளின் விளையாட்டை முறையாக வழிநடத்தலும் அவசியமாகும். அதுவே அர்த்தமுள்ள விளையாட்டு என்று கருதப்பெறும். தாய்மொழி சார்ந்த விளையாட்டு அனுபவங்கள் பள்ளியில் தொடங்கி வீடுவரை தொடரும். அதன்வழி அமையப்பெறும் கற்றலில் தடையிருக்காது; தயக்கமிருக்காது. பகிர்வரங்கின் பங்கேற்பாளர்கள் அர்த்தமுள்ள விளையாட்டுகளின்வழிப் பள்ளியிலும் வீட்டிலும் தாய்மொழியைப் பயன்படுத்த பிள்ளைகளை எவ்வாறு ஊக்குவிக்கலாம் என்பதைப்பற்றிக் கலந்துரையாடுவார்கள்.
