Ms Rani Kanna is a professional storyteller, art educator and actor. Ms Rani was an ex-MOE teacher who completed her degree in Tamil Literature in India. She also has a master’s degree in applied linguistics and hands-on experience with traditional art forms in India. She has participated in many storytelling festivals in Singapore and overseas. Her narrations, being detailed with actions and voices, are full of life. Ms Rani has been teaching students traditional arts, while infusing the learning of Tamil. Ms Rani has been directing and acting in pre-school musicals since 2014. She is passionate about making the learning of Tamil fun for young children.
திருமதி ராணிகண்ணா முழு நேரமாக கலைக் கல்வித்துறையில் ஈடுபட்டு வருகிறார். இவர் ஒரு முன்னாள் தமிழாசிரியர். சிங்கையிலும் மற்ற நாடுகளில் நடக்கும் கதை சொல்லும் விழாக்களிலும் பங்கேற்று வருகிறார். இவரது கதை சொல்லும் பாணி மாணவர்களை எளிதில் ஈர்க்கக் கூடிய வகையில் அமைந்திருக்கும். சிங்கப்பூர்த் தேசிய கல்விக்கழகத்தில் ஆசிரியர் பயிற்சியையும் சென்னைப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் இளங்கலையும் முதுகலையும் முடித்துள்ளார். மரபுக்கலைகளின்வழி எவ்வாறு தமிழ்மொழி கற்றலை ஊக்குவிக்கலாம் என்பதையொட்டிய ஆய்வை மேற்கொண்டு வருகிறார். சிங்கையில் தமிழ் மாணவர்களுக்கு மரபுக்கலையையும் தமிழையும் ஒன்றிணைத்துக் கற்பித்து வருகிறார். 2014 ஆம் ஆண்டிலிருந்து பாலர்பள்ளி மாணவர்களுக்காக இசை நாடகத்தை வடிவமைத்து, இயக்கி, அதில் நடித்தும் வருகிறார். இந்நாடகங்கள் சிங்கையில் பல்வேறு பகுதிகளில் அரங்கேறியிருக்கின்றன. மாணவர்கள் மகிழ்வுறும் வகையில் தமிழ் மொழியைக் கற்க வேண்டும் என்பதே ராணியின் இலக்கு.
Ms Rani will be sharing many interesting ways for young children to develop the habit of reading. Her sharing will cover the benefits of learning to read early, pre-reading skills to help kids develop an interest in reading, repetition of words through songs and stories, and strategies such as intonation, voice modulation and pauses. Moreover, she will be sharing storytelling techniques for parents to keep their child's attention, improve word recognition, enhance vocabulary, develop fluency and choose suitable books and engaging stories. .
1-3 வயதுடைய பிள்ளைகளை இளவயது முதலே வாசித்தலில் ஈடுபடுத்துவது பல்வேறு பயன்களை அவர்களுக்குக் கொண்டு சேர்க்கும். பிள்ளைகளுக்கு வாசிப்பில் ஆர்வத்தை அதிகரிக்கவும் அவர்களைத் தொடர்ந்து வாசிக்க ஊக்குவிக்கவும் தேவையான உத்திகளை இப்பகிர்வங்கத்தின் வாயிலாகப் பெற்றோர்கள் அறிந்துகொள்ளலாம். 4-6 வயதுடைய பிள்ளைகளுக்கு வாசிப்பின் வழியே சொல்வளத்தைப் பெருக்கவும் அவர்களது மொழியாற்றலை வளர்க்கவும் தேவையான வழிவகைகளைப் பெற்றோர்கள் தெரிந்துகொள்வர். மேலும், வாசிப்பின் போது கவனத்தில்கொள்ளவேண்டிய கூறுகள், பொருத்தமான புத்தகங்களைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தல் போன்ற நுணுக்கங்களையும் இப்பகிர்வரங்கின் வாயிலாக அறிந்துகொள்ளலாம்.
