Ms Juliana began her teaching career at 19 and has worked with PCF for 7 years. Entering the field as a young teacher, she faced many challenges such as managing children’s behaviour and adopting the most effective strategies to engage them. Her commitment and passion led her to win the Outstanding Pre-school Mother Tongue Language Teacher at the age of 24. As an educator, she believes that learning is a continuous journey during which she constantly creates new learning experiences for the children. Juliana strongly believes that the foundation of holistic development of children at the pre-school years begins with strong home-school partnership.
ஜூலியானா பத்தொன்பது வயதில் தமது ஆசிரியப் பணியைத் தொடங்கினார். இவர் PCF-பாலர் பள்ளியில் ஏழு ஆண்டுகளாகப் பணியாற்றிவருகிறார். பாலர் கல்வியில் இவர் பெற்ற அனுபவம் வாயிலாக மொழிக்கல்வியின்பால் மாணவர்களது ஆர்வத்தை ஊக்குவிக்கவும், எளிய முறையில் மொழியைக் கற்பிப்பதற்குமான உத்திமுறைகளையும் கைவரப்பெற்றவர். தம் இருபத்து நான்காவது வயதில், கல்வி அமைச்சின் ஏற்பாட்டில் நடந்தேறிய தாய்மொழிகளின் கருத்தரங்கில் தலைசிறந்த ஆசிரியருக்கான விருதினைப் பெற்றார். குழந்தைகளின் கற்றல் அனுபவமென்பது ஆசிரியரின் தொடர் கற்றலின் மூலமாக மேம்படுகிறது என்பது இவரது கருத்து. பாலர் கல்வி ஆண்டுகளில் குழந்தைகளின் முழுமையான வளர்ச்சியின் அடையாளம் வலுவான குடும்பம்-பள்ளி கூட்டுமுயற்சியிலிருந்து தொடங்குகிறது என்று இவர் உறுதியாக நம்புகிறார்.
Educators across the nation have long professed the importance of family involvement in children’s education. Many researchers have also shown positive effects of collaboration between schools and parents when they continuously work hand-in-hand to support children’s learning and development. Parents are their child’s first teacher. When the school system values and respect parents as equal partners in their child’s education, opportunities are created to influence a child to live a positive and fulfilling life. Through this session, participants will be able to explore various strategies that one can use at home to foster the child’s learning as well as explore creative ways to provide opportunities for children to learn Mother Tongue Language through play at home.
குழந்தைகளின் கல்வியில் அவர்களது குடும்பத்தினரின் ஈடுபாடு இன்றியமையாத பங்கினை ஆற்றுகிறது என்பது கல்வியாளர்களின் கருத்து. அது குழந்தைகளின் கற்றலையும் வளர்ச்சியையும் ஆதரிப்பதற்கும் ஊக்குவிப்பதற்கும் கைகொடுக்கின்றது. பெற்றோர்களே பிள்ளைகளின் முதல் ஆசிரியர்களாகத் திகழ்கிறார்கள். அந்த வகையில், குழந்தைகளின் மொழிகற்றலில் பெற்றோர்கள் பெரும் பாங்காற்றுகிறார்கள். அதன் அடிப்படையில், இந்தப் பகிர்வரங்கின் வாயிலாகப் பிள்ளைகளின் கற்றலை மேம்படுத்துவதற்கான வழிவகைகளையும் வீட்டுச் சூழலில் விளையாட்டு மூலம் தமிழ்மொழியைக் கற்றுக் கொள்வதற்கான வாய்ப்புகளை உருவாக்கிக் கொடுக்கும் வழிமுறைகளையும் ஆக்கபூர்வமான முறைகளைப் பற்றியும் அறிந்துகொள்வார்கள்.
