"Treasure Hunting in the Museum - Looking through the Frame” is a special activity by Presbyterian Community Services (Yishun Centre) where children are given several props to assist them in treasure hunting. One of these props is the “Fun Box” which enables children to learn more about culture. A small frame is given to each child to help them focus on a small area. The children also learn to ask questions that help them move on to different activities through which they learn to observe, think and question.

These activities allow young children to experience the fun of learning Chinese, so that they want to learn their mother tongue. Children also learn and develop a deeper understanding of not only their own culture, but also the culture of other races.

Another activity, “Singapore's Little Treasures”, encourages and enables parent participation in school activities and help children learn Chinese at home.
